# Tracking Setup with Bidvertiser

This guide explains how to set up tracking between FunnelFlux Pro and **Bidvertiser**.

## Step 1: Add Bidvertiser as a Traffic Source
1. Go to **Traffic Sources** > **New**
2. Search for "Bidvertiser" in the template list
3. Select the **Bidvertiser** template

The template configures the following tracking fields:

| external | external | `{BV_CLICKID}` |
| c1 | adname | `{BV_ADNAME}` |
| c2 | keyword | `{BV_KEYWORD}` |
| c3 | source_id | `{BV_SRCID}` |
| c4 | category | `{BV_CATEGORY}` |

**Cost token:** `{BV_BID}` (Cost Per Event/Click)

## Step 2: Create Your Campaign URL
After creating the traffic source:
1. Build a funnel in the **Funnel Builder**
2. Click the traffic node and select **Bidvertiser** as the traffic source
3. Copy the generated tracking link

Use this tracking link as the destination/campaign URL in Bidvertiser. The URL includes all tracking field parameters, so Bidvertiser will automatically replace the tokens with real values when a user clicks your ad.

## Step 3: Set Up Conversion Tracking
Bidvertiser uses a **postback URL** for conversion tracking. The template pre-configures this in the **Conversion Tracking** tab.

The postback URL is:

https://secure.bidvertiser.com/performance/pc.dbm?ver=1.0&AID=REPLACE_ME&CLICKID={external}&revenue={payout}
```
Replace `REPLACE_ME` with your Bidvertiser-specific account or campaign ID.

Copy this URL and paste it into Bidvertiser's postback or conversion tracking settings.

In this URL:
- `{external}` is a FunnelFlux token replaced with the stored click ID from Bidvertiser
- `{payout}` is replaced with the conversion revenue amount

When a conversion happens in FunnelFlux, it fires this postback to notify Bidvertiser of the conversion.

## Optional: Updating Costs
If cost tokens are not available or not accurate for your campaign type, you can manually update costs in FunnelFlux:
1. Go to **Update Costs** in FunnelFlux
2. Export your cost data from Bidvertiser
3. Match the data by campaign ID and any relevant tracking fields
4. Import the cost data
