This article introduces FunnelFlux's JavaScript tracking system. It covers what the tracking script does, how to install it, and where to find related guides.

FunnelFlux offers JavaScript-based tracking for your pages. It supports direct-linking (sending traffic straight to your pages without a redirect), automatic helper functions, and a JavaScript API for on-page actions.

To get started, add the Universal JS Code to the pages you control. We recommend including it on all pages, whether you plan to direct-link or not.

You can find the global snippet in Settings > Tracking Codes. It also appears in the JavaScript Tracking tab for landers, offers, and page groups in the funnel builder.

Place this code anywhere on your page. Include it only once.

The snippet already fires a default page view event. In most cases, no extra code is needed.

FunnelFlux is a cloud-based tracking and routing platform for performance marketers. If you run paid advertising campaigns and need to control where visitors go, split test pages, track conversions, and optimize ROI, this is the tool that ties it all together.

Unlike traditional trackers that are campaign-based (one campaign per traffic source), FunnelFlux uses a funnel-based architecture. You build a funnel once as a visual flowchart, then generate tracking links for any traffic source. The same funnel can accept traffic from unlimited sources simultaneously.

What FunnelFlux Does

At a high level, FunnelFlux handles four things:

Receives incoming clicks from traffic sources like Facebook Ads, Google Ads, TikTok, push networks, native ad platforms, and more
Routes visitors through a sequence of pages based on rules you define in a visual funnel builder
Tracks every step of the visitor's journey -- page views, click-throughs between pages, conversions, and custom events
Reports on performance -- showing metrics like cost, revenue, ROI, conversion rates, and click-through rates, broken down by traffic source, campaign, page, country, device, and many other attributes

FunnelFlux can also send conversion data back to traffic source platforms (like Facebook CAPI or Google Ads) so their algorithms can optimize delivery based on your results.

How Tracking and Tokens Work

FunnelFlux is a URL-based tracker. Everything it does -- capturing data from ad clicks, routing visitors through funnels, and attributing conversions -- relies on information passed through URLs. Once you understand how URLs carry data and how tokens work, the entire system clicks into place.

URL Anatomy

Every URL you work with in tracking has the same basic structure. Here is a real example of a FunnelFlux redirect link:

https://track.example.com/fts/2nIemJxCKbFX-2n5JuOKWLTzd?campaign=[campaign]&external=[clickid]&c1=[country]&c2=[zone]

Breaking this apart:

Protocol -- https tells the browser how to connect
Domain -- track.example.com is your custom tracking domain, which FunnelFlux uses to identify your account
Path -- /fts/2nIemJxCKbFX-2n5JuOKWLTzd tells FunnelFlux this is a new entrance (fts = funnel traffic source) and encodes the funnel ID and traffic source ID
Query string -- everything after ? is a set of key=value pairs separated by &, carrying the data you want to capture

The query string is the most dynamic part. When this link runs inside an ad platform, it might resolve to something like:

?campaign=camp_123&external=click_789&c1=US&c2=zone_456

In addition to conversions, you can now track custom events in FunnelFlux Pro.

These events can occur on landers and offers and can be triggered in three ways:

Using postback URLs
Using Javascript code
Via our funnel builder

If you're familiar with using postbacks and JS for conversion tracking, custom events are very similar.

Passing events to traffic sources

Naturally you will likely want to pass custom events onward to traffic sources.

Just like conversions, you can do this in the Traffic Source > Conversion Tracking section, as below:

Here you can set the postback URLs to use for each event. For each one you can also pick custom scenarios to use our traffic source integrations. You will need to fill out the data for each one, i.e. copy/paste your access tokens and IDs.

We'll likely simplify this in the future, for now the inputs are separate.

Note that custom events are unique within our system at this stage, so sending multiple custom events to FunnelFlux will only show one (for that user/session) in reportin

How do I change my account email address?

For now, there's no self-serve way to do this, as the email needs to change in our billing system and authentication system at the same time to keep things in sync.

But changing is simple - just start a chat with support and tell us what email you'd like to update to.

After the update, all communications will go to the new email and you will need to use it for logging in.
