Tracking Setup with Adroll

This guide walks you through setting up tracking between FunnelFlux Pro and Adroll.

Step 1: Add Adroll as a Traffic Source

  1. Go to Traffic Sources > New
  2. Search for "Adroll" in the template list
  3. Select the Adroll template

The template configures the following tracking fields:

Slot

Field Name

Token

campaign

campaign

(empty)

external

external

(empty)

c1

banner

#REPLACE#

c2

size

#REPLACE#

Cost type: Cost Per Event/Click. No automatic cost token is available, so you may need to update costs manually.

Step 2: Create Your Campaign URL

After creating the traffic source:

  1. Build a funnel in the Funnel Builder
  2. Click the traffic node and select Adroll as the traffic source
  3. Copy the generated tracking link

Use this tracking link as your destination URL in Adroll. The URL already includes all tracking parameters. When a user clicks your ad, Adroll replaces the tokens with real values.

Step 3: Set Up Conversion Tracking

The template does not include a pre-configured postback URL. You will need to set up conversion tracking manually using Adroll's documentation.

If Adroll supports postback URLs, configure one in the traffic source's Conversion Tracking tab. Use this format:

https://adroll.example.com/conversion?click_id={external}&payout={payout}

Check Adroll's documentation for the exact postback URL format and requirements.

Optional: Updating Costs

If cost tokens are unavailable or inaccurate for your campaign type, update costs manually:

  1. Go to Update Costs in FunnelFlux
  2. Export your cost data from Adroll
  3. Match the data by campaign ID and relevant tracking fields
  4. Import the cost data
