Tracking Setup with Adsterra

Learn how to connect FunnelFlux Pro with Adsterra for tracking.

Step 1: Add Adsterra as a Traffic Source

  1. Go to Traffic Sources > New
  2. Search for "Adsterra" in the template list
  3. Select the Adsterra template

This template sets up the following tracking fields:

##CAMPAIGN_ID##

##SUB_ID_SHORT(action)##

##PLACEMENT_ID##

##BANNER_ID##

Cost token: ##COST_CPC## (Cost Per Event/Click)

Step 2: Create Your Campaign URL

Once you have created the traffic source:

  1. Build a funnel in the Funnel Builder
  2. Click the traffic node and select Adsterra as the traffic source
  3. Copy the generated tracking link

Paste this link as your campaign URL in Adsterra. It already includes all the tracking parameters. Adsterra replaces the tokens with real values when someone clicks your ad.

Step 3: Set Up Conversion Tracking

Adsterra tracks conversions through a postback URL. The template pre-configures this in the Conversion Tracking tab.

The postback URL is:

https://www.pbterra.com/name/REPLACE/at?subid_short={external}&atpay={payout}

Copy this URL and paste it into Adsterra's conversion tracking settings.

In this URL:

  • {external} -- FunnelFlux replaces this with the stored click ID from Adsterra
  • {payout} -- FunnelFlux replaces this with the conversion revenue amount

When a conversion fires in FunnelFlux, it sends this postback to Adsterra.

Optional: Updating Costs

If cost tokens are missing or inaccurate for your campaign type, update costs manually:

  1. Go to Update Costs in FunnelFlux
  2. Export cost data from Adsterra
  3. Match by campaign ID and relevant tracking fields
  4. Import the cost data
