Tracking Setup with Avazu
This guide walks you through setting up tracking between FunnelFlux Pro and Avazu.
Step 1: Add Avazu as a Traffic Source
- Go to Traffic Sources > New
- Search for "Avazu" in the template list
- Select the Avazu template
The template configures the following tracking fields:
Slot | Field Name | Token |
|---|---|---|
campaign | campaign | |
external | external | |
c1 | bundle_id | |
c2 | category | |
c3 | exchange | |
c4 | media | |
c5 | creative_id | |
c6 | publisher_name | |
c7 | source_name | |
Cost type: Cost Per Event/Click. No automatic cost token is available, so you may need to update costs manually.
Step 2: Create Your Campaign URL
After creating the traffic source:
- Build a funnel in the Funnel Builder
- Click the traffic node and select Avazu as the traffic source
- Copy the generated tracking link
Use this tracking link as your destination URL in Avazu. The URL already includes all tracking parameters. When a user clicks your ad, Avazu replaces the tokens with real values.
Step 3: Set Up Conversion Tracking
Avazu uses a postback URL for conversion tracking. The template pre-configures this under the Conversion Tracking tab.
The postback URL looks like this:
https://mdsp.avazutracking.net/tracking/s2s.php?subid={external}
Copy this URL and paste it into Avazu's postback settings.
In this URL:
{external}-- FunnelFlux replaces this with the stored click ID from Avazu{payout}-- FunnelFlux replaces this with the conversion revenue amount
When a conversion fires in FunnelFlux, it sends this postback to notify Avazu.
Optional: Updating Costs
If cost tokens are unavailable or inaccurate for your campaign type, update costs manually:
- Go to Update Costs in FunnelFlux
- Export your cost data from Avazu
- Match the data by campaign ID and relevant tracking fields
- Import the cost data
