Tracking Setup with PopAds

This guide explains how to set up tracking between FunnelFlux Pro and PopAds.

Step 1: Add PopAds as a Traffic Source

  1. Go to Traffic Sources > New
  2. Search for "PopAds" in the template list
  3. Select the PopAds template

The template configures the following tracking fields:

Slot

Field Name

Token

campaign

campaign

[CAMPAIGNID]

external

external

[IMPRESSIONID]

c1

site_id

[WEBSITEID]

c2

category

[CATEGORYNAME]

c3

category_id

[CATEGORYID]

c4

formfactor

[FORMFACTORNAME]

c5

quality_score

[QUALITY]

Cost token: [BID] (Cost Per Event/Click)

Step 2: Create Your Campaign URL

After creating the traffic source:

  1. Build a funnel in the Funnel Builder
  2. Click the traffic node and select PopAds as the traffic source
  3. Copy the generated tracking link

Use this tracking link as the destination/campaign URL in PopAds. The URL includes all tracking field parameters, so PopAds will automatically replace the tokens with real values when a user clicks your ad.

Step 3: Set Up Conversion Tracking

PopAds uses a postback URL for conversion tracking. The template pre-configures this in the Conversion Tracking tab.

The postback URL is:

https://serve.popads.net/cpixel.php?s2s=1&aid=REPLACE_ME&id={external}&value={payout}

Replace REPLACE_ME with your PopAds-specific account or campaign ID.

Copy this URL and paste it into PopAds's postback or conversion tracking settings.

In this URL:

  • {external} is a FunnelFlux token replaced with the stored click ID from PopAds
  • {payout} is replaced with the conversion revenue amount

When a conversion happens in FunnelFlux, it fires this postback to notify PopAds of the conversion.

Optional: Updating Costs

If cost tokens are not available or not accurate for your campaign type, you can manually update costs in FunnelFlux:

  1. Go to Update Costs in FunnelFlux
  2. Export your cost data from PopAds
  3. Match the data by campaign ID and any relevant tracking fields
  4. Import the cost data
