Tracking Setup with ROI Ads
This guide explains how to set up tracking between FunnelFlux Pro and ROI Ads.
Step 1: Add ROI Ads as a Traffic Source
- Go to Traffic Sources > New
- Search for "ROI Ads" in the template list
- Select the ROI Ads template
The template configures the following tracking fields:
Slot | Field Name | Token |
|---|---|---|
campaign | campaign | |
external | external | |
c1 | publisher | |
c2 | site | |
c3 | zone | |
c4 | creative | |
c5 | source_type | |
Cost token: {bid_price} (Cost Per Event/Click)
Step 2: Create Your Campaign URL
After creating the traffic source:
- Build a funnel in the Funnel Builder
- Click the traffic node and select ROI Ads as the traffic source
- Copy the generated tracking link
Use this tracking link as the destination/campaign URL in ROI Ads. The URL includes all tracking field parameters, so ROI Ads will automatically replace the tokens with real values when a user clicks your ad.
Step 3: Set Up Conversion Tracking
ROI Ads uses a postback URL for conversion tracking. The template pre-configures this in the Conversion Tracking tab.
The postback URL is:
https://us.roiapp.net/roiconv?action=conversion&id={external}
Copy this URL and paste it into ROI Ads's postback or conversion tracking settings.
In this URL:
{external}is a FunnelFlux token replaced with the stored click ID from ROI Ads{payout}is replaced with the conversion revenue amount
When a conversion happens in FunnelFlux, it fires this postback to notify ROI Ads of the conversion.
Optional: Updating Costs
If cost tokens are not available or not accurate for your campaign type, you can manually update costs in FunnelFlux:
- Go to Update Costs in FunnelFlux
- Export your cost data from ROI Ads
- Match the data by campaign ID and any relevant tracking fields
- Import the cost data
